Other Enjoy Every Sandwiches

Tucson, AZ

I tried out the Google Blog Search today, and it turns out there are a few other blogs going by the same title. While I was not the first to start blogging with this title, I will point out that I do seem to have the most Warren Zevon content :-) Interestingly, two of the other blogs both seem to have some faint libertarianish leanings.

There is Alex from NY who links to The Economist and a piece by Johnathan Rauch that I've been looking for and couldn't find. Here's a nice quote from back in August:
With all of that said, it is so easy to blame our government for bad leadership and decisions, we can accuse the church of corruption and we can point at divisions among our society. However, I believe that these Christian actions have to begin with the individual. We should actively give more instead of waiting for the government to take it from us. We can support causes for AIDS, poverty, hunger with our own hands. And these problems don't exist solely overseas. Almost everyone in this country is within a 30 minute drive from an impoverished community where there is hunger, homelessness and disease. We must act as individuals, churches and communities. We can't wait for our country to do the work we expect. We must act ourselves or else it will never happen and these atrocious acts of this 'Christian' nation will continue to contradict the Love of God.
I think the Christian thing is off the mark, but I do appreciate the individualist sentiment. A book recommendation for you, Mr. Fabulous- if you really want to challenge and probe your religion, try George H. Smith's Atheism: The Case Against God.

Kent Tegels appears to speak acronym as his primary language. He has another blog called Mr. Bad Example. I can't bear to read anymore of his Enjoy Every Sandwich blog as I do not understand most of it and many of his links do not work (at least in Safari). From his resume, he appears to be a big fan of Microsoft. Ickety.

This 35-year-old Canuck going by the name of skippystalin is 180 days into his Involuntary Celibacy Watch, and he's somewhat sorta libertarianish as measured by Ok Cupid for whatever that is worth. It is not clear what, if any, relationship there is between these two pieces of data. (Inexplicably, he fails to list Warren Zevon under his Favorite Music heading in his Blogger profile!) Skippy, you may find something to help you out in my sex toy store.
